The message is quite clear. Drugs are not a toy! I think this author wanted to reach the youth with this graffiti. Bosnia is an unfriendly and difficult area to live. Life there is hard because of the wars and poverty that is why more and more students, kids take drugs. A student at the Sarajevo Art Academy told: “People can't relax without drugs anymore.” Only a little above half of Bosnia’s borders are controlled by the police, all of the other borders are wide open for smuggling. The main and biggest targets for dealers are young citizens of Bosnia, teenagers, school kids… This picture is a reminder. It reminds people who pass it by that drugs are a huge problem in Bosnia and maybe it makes one in ten people who walk by think twice before they take them.

# Posted by mberra on 9.11.2011 16:52I think the author also meant to say that especially young people take drugs, so that's why a bear toy is used. :) Nice graffiti although!

# Posted by Kaja on 23.1.2012 20:12The one who made this graffiti clearly intended to draw attention. The sharpness of the drug needle and the innocent and almost helpless look in the toy's eye evokes empathy and makes it almost painful to look at. It sends a direct and profound message about the danger of drug use and consequences that surely follow.
